"Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." — Ephesians 3:20-21

It is Sunday evening and the week is behind me and I am sitting in the chair by the lamp with the fan going and Biscuit at my feet, and the week was what it was.

Becca called Thursday evening and we talked for a while and neither of us said much about the day that needed saying and that was right. Dan texted a picture of the grandchildren and I looked at it for a long time. Hannah called Friday morning and it was a good call and I will leave it at that.

The tomatoes are still coming. The garden needs weeding. August is around the corner and I can feel it in the light, which is shifting even if the heat has not, and the evenings are a few minutes shorter though I could not tell you when they started getting shorter because the shortening is gradual and I only notice it when I look up and the sky is darker than I expected.

The week ahead is ordinary, which is what I need. Church was good this morning. The coffee is at the right temperature. The house is the house.
