Privacy Policy

Ruby's Kitchen Table is a daily devotional newsletter and personalized prayer ministry. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

We wrote this in plain language because that is how we try to write everything.

What we collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. That is the only piece of information required to subscribe.

When you visit the site, we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use Ruby's Kitchen Table. Google Analytics collects anonymized data about your visit — which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, what brought you here. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

When you place an order from the Shop, we collect the information you provide on the order form — your name, email address, and the details you share about the person the prayer or blessing is for. We also collect payment information through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full credit card number.

How we use your information

Your email address is used to deliver the daily devotional newsletter and, if you have placed an order, to deliver your completed prayer or blessing. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone.

The personal details you share on an order form — names, relationships, circumstances — are used only to write the piece you ordered. That information is treated as confidential. We do not publish it, share it, or use it for any purpose other than fulfilling your order.

Analytics data is used to understand which devotionals resonate with readers and how people discover the site. It helps us do better work. It is never tied to your identity.

Who we share your information with

We use a small number of services to operate Ruby's Kitchen Table:

Ghost hosts the website and manages newsletter subscriptions. Brevo delivers newsletter emails. Google Analytics provides anonymized site usage data. Stripe processes payments when you place an order from the Shop. Cloudflare provides domain and email routing services. Meta (Facebook) provides advertising tools, including a tracking pixel that records page visits and newsletter signups from our Facebook ad.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We chose them because they are reputable, widely used, and take data protection seriously.

We do not sell your information to data brokers or anyone else.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies to function:

Ghost sets functional cookies that keep the site working properly (remembering your subscription status, for example). Google Analytics sets cookies to understand site traffic patterns. These cookies do not identify you personally. Meta (Facebook) sets a tracking pixel that helps us understand how people who see our Facebook ad interact with the site. This pixel may set cookies in your browser.

We do not sell data collected by these tools to advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

Unsubscribe. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, and you are removed from the mailing list.

Analytics opt-out. If you prefer not to be included in Google Analytics data, you can use a browser extension like Google’s Analytics Opt-Out Add-on, or enable your browser’s Do Not Track setting.

Facebook tracking opt-out. You can control Meta’s tracking through your Facebook ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences, or by using a browser that blocks third-party cookies.

Data removal. If you would like us to delete any information we hold about you — your email address, order details, or anything else — write to us and we will take care of it.

Children

Ruby's Kitchen Table is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the date at the top. We will not reduce your privacy protections without giving you notice.
