Ruby's Kitchen Table is a daily devotional newsletter and a personalized prayer ministry. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

We wrote this in plain language because that is how we try to write everything.

What we collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. That is the only piece of information required to subscribe.

When you order something from the Shop, we collect your name, your email address, and the details you share about the person the piece is written for. Payment is handled by our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.

When you visit the site, we use analytics tools to understand how people find and read Ruby's Kitchen Table. These tools collect anonymized data about your visit — which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, what brought you here. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

How we use your information

Your email address is used to deliver the daily devotional newsletter and, if you have placed an order, to deliver the finished piece. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone.

The details you share on an order form — names, relationships, circumstances — are used only to write the piece you asked for. They are treated as confidential. We do not publish them, share them, or use them for any purpose other than fulfilling your order.

Analytics data is used to understand which devotionals resonate with readers and how people discover the site. It helps us do better work. It is never tied to your identity.

Who we share your information with

We use a small number of established service providers to run the newsletter and the Shop — to host the site, send the emails, process payments, understand site traffic, and route our domain. Each brings a specific capability, and each handles only what it needs to do its part.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We chose them because they are reputable, widely used, and take data protection seriously.

We do not sell your information to data brokers or anyone else.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies to function:

Some cookies keep the site working properly — remembering your subscription status, for example. Others are set by the analytics and advertising tools we use to understand site traffic and how people who see our ads interact with the site. These may set cookies in your browser. They do not identify you personally.

We do not sell data collected by these tools to advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

Unsubscribe. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, and you are removed from the mailing list.

Analytics opt-out. If you prefer not to be included in analytics data, you can enable your browser's Do Not Track setting or use a browser extension that blocks analytics tracking.

Advertising opt-out. If you have seen our ads on social media, you can control ad tracking through that platform's ad preferences, or by using a browser that blocks third-party cookies.

Data removal. If you would like us to delete any information we hold about you — your email address, order details, or anything else — write to us and we will take care of it.

Children

Ruby's Kitchen Table is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the date at the top. We will not reduce your privacy protections without giving you notice.
